SASSA Grants Recipients Urged To Submit Bank Account Due To Post Office Challenges

There is no truth to the rumour that people will not receive payment when their cards are renewed. As per SASSA Spoke Person yesterday, SASSA is making alternative arrangements for people who cannot renew their cards because Post Offices do not have cards or are closed.
SASSA Grants Recipients Urged To Submit Bank Account Due To Post Office Challenges
Post Office challenges force SASSA grant recipients to submit bank accountsUntil Sassa themselves confirmed the alternative payment method, I didn’t want to post it yesterday.
The instructions are below for members who can’t renew their Gold Cards due to closed Post Offices or Post Offices that don’t have cards:
- Open up a Bank Account..if you already have one..get 3 months statements.
- You can download the Banking Form from Sassa.gov.za..or Go to Nearest Sassa Office to fetch Banking Form
- Take Banking Form to Bank and have it filled in and stamped.
- Take Banking Form with 3 months statements(if old account)..back to a Sassa Office.
Sassa must verify that the banking account belongs to you, so there will be a delay in payment if done late. You can change your payment method after grant payment.
