April SASSA SRD R350 Grant Approved But No Payment What Do I Do?

South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has urged beneficiaries of the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant who chose cash send payment and do not yet have a payment date to provide their banking information on the Sassa website.

Due to the failure of mobile number verification, their payment date may not be available.Since grants cannot be paid into someone else’s bank account, beneficiaries must provide their own banking information. To prevent fraud, this step ensures grant payments are made to the right recipient.

Beneficiaries must have their own registered mobile number on which they receive SMS messages regarding cash send payments.A mobile number registered with another person will not be paid by Sassa as a grant payment.

The bank they selected should be contacted if the beneficiaries have not received their vouchers if they chose the cash send payment method.

If the beneficiary mistakenly deleted a message with the voucher, Sassa advised them to contact the bank they are registered with, and the bank would resend it.

Contact numbers for the bank for cash send inquiries are as follows:

  • ABSA- 0 800 000 122
  • TYME BANK- 0860 999 119
  • NEDBANK- 0 800 555 111
  • FNB- 0875 759 405
  • Standard Bank- 0860 466 639

Beneficiaries are told that the grant will remain in their accounts until they need it, so they do not need to collect it on the date when it is available.

Insufficient means, no social grants are provided on their behalf, or no one receives a UIF payment on their behalf for South African citizens, refugees, asylum seekers, and special permit holders between the ages of 18 and 60. They also do not qualify for or do not contribute to the UIF payment.
