- Trimester 2: Opens on 13 May 2024, closes on 31 May 2024
- Semester 2: Opens on 9 July 2024, closes on 26 July 2024
- Trimester 3: Opens on 2 September 2024, closes on 20 September 2024

Application Process for TVET College Students
NSFAS emphasizes that the application method for all remaining 2024 cycles will mirror the process used for the initial cycle. Students are required to apply through the NSFAS website on the myNSFAS portal once applications open. Additionally, students can seek assistance with their NSFAS applications from the financial aid office at their respective colleges.
NSFAS Requirements for TVET College Students
For TVET College students seeking NSFAS funding, the following requirements apply:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be registered or intending to register for a PLP, NC(V), or Report 191 programme
- Must demonstrate financial need as determined by NSFAS
- Returning students must exhibit satisfactory academic performance as per college policies
- Must comply with the N+Rule and avoid duplicating state-funded qualifications
- Family income should not exceed R350,000 per annum
- Progression criteria apply based on previous academic performance in relevant programs
